Hello magical friends, and welcome to WZRD’s fifth anniversary! Can you believe we’ve been doing this for five whole years? I’m so impressed with us.
I’ve got some fun ideas about how we should celebrate, but first let’s get this party started! Here’s “The Man in the Mirror” by the Sweetwater All-Stars.

Welcome to the Summer of Fun, magical friends! This fandom has been fighting the good fight for so long, it’s time we remember what it is we’re fighting for. Together with Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam over on the Wizrocklopedia we’re declaring this summer to be all about the fun of fandom and creation.
WZRD is organizing a comp! “Just Joy” is a compliation for remembering what you love about the Harry Potter series. Is it a minor character? A scene that really struck you? A particular theme? Let’s dig into the absolute joy and chaos that wizard rock embodies.
And, because we’re doing this in the most fun way possible, everyone who contributes to “Just Joy” is getting a real, physical CD in addition to a download code. Yep, a real, shiny disc you can hold in your hands and say “I made this.”
Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jam is going to have a prompt every month designed to get you giggling, kicking your feet, and hopefully sharing all your favorite head canons via poetry, doodles, and song.
“Just Joy”’s submissions will be open through July 31st, our favorite Boy Who Lived’s birthday. The submission form will be linked in the transcript and on the WZRD website. [link]
Let’s go absolutely wild, magical friends, and make some Weasleys’ Wildfire Whiz-bang style celebrations this summer.
Here’s our next music break, starting with Harry and the Potters and “Livin’ in a Mirror.”

In addition to getting your crafting on, here are some other fun ways you could engage with fandom this month:
March 1st is seeing Drag Brunches in both Nashville, TN and Phoenix, AZ, so we’re really spoiled for choice! [link] [link]
Don’t forget to get your magical children’s song in to the Cast, Cast, Cast a Spell, Part Two compilation by the end of this month! [email]
Irwin, PA is playing host to a Harry Potter Lunch on March 22nd, complete with a “Honeydukes station” and a costume contest. [link]
Also on March 22nd there’s a Harry Potter Cookie Decorating Class in Martinsburg, WV and the promised end results look very fancy. [link]
On March 29th in Clermont, FL there’s going to be a three course Harry Potter High Tea which sounds delicious. [link]
And if you’re closer to Clovis, NM on March 29th, check out the Triwizard Event & Costume Party happening at Just Kiln Me Now. [link]
And holy hopping hippogriffs, magical friends! So much music came out in February!

Don’t worry, magical friends, this isn’t the end; it’s just the beginning of the Summer of Fun!
And a special congrats to Celia for being the first to guess Episode 112’s theme of “Astoria Greengrass.” Now get to writing more songs!
If you heard your new favorite song, go to the transcript at WZRDRadioPod.com, follow the link, and buy yourself a copy. You’ll get a great new addition to your music collection and a wizard rocker will know they’ve got a fan. And you know what I always say: without our wizard rockers, we wouldn’t be here.
You can support WZRD and the Community Wrock Fund by joining the Patreon at Patreon.com/WZRDRadioPod. There are two, five, and ten dollar tiers that all get the same perks, including early episodes and bonus content, and support the Fund in helping our wizard rockers get their music out there.
You can still guess this episode’s theme on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok at WZRDRadioPod. You can also get in touch by commenting on the transcript or emailing me at WZRDRadioPod@gmail.com.
Until next time, magical friends: Don’t know when I’ve had more fun!
