Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 128 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and I’m getting excited for what I consider the festive season, fall through winter. Harvest festivals, Halloween, and all the darkest-night parties are coming!
To get us started, here’s The Butterbeer Experience with “The Weasley Way.”

That was “The Weasley Way” from The Butterbeer Experience [lyrics], Alex Boyd with “I Must Not Tell Lies,” and The Weasel King’s “They Can’t Catch Us All [lyrics].
And now let’s hear from our Special Correspondent in the Field, DQ!
Hello magical friends. This is Special Correspondent in the Field DQ with a wizard rock announcement perhaps more exciting than anything I have yet to share. Fortune has smiled upon one of our own and he has decided to use that good fortune to bless our community with an event next spring. The Galleon Guy has won a raffle and the grand prize is access to the campgrounds of the Hull Foundation in Sandy, Oregon for one weekend. And so we have assembled a team of organizers to bring back WZRDFest for the weekend of May 1st – 3rd, 2026. There are still a lot of details to work out, but we wanted to make sure everyone was well aware of the plan so they can save the dates and start working out travel arrangements. Lodging will be available on the campgrounds and total capacity will be limited to approximately 40 people.
At this time we are reaching out to some of our fellow wizard rockers to see what kind of lineup we’ll be able to put together. We are also considering other activities that might help to make the weekend a particularly memorable and exciting one. We welcome anyone with questions to submit them to the Galleon Guy, the Bookish Hufflepuff, or myself. It is our hope that this weekend will be a celebration of the same kind of joy vibes, music and warm community feelings that wizard rock is all about. We all know that opportunity is not a lengthy visitor, so let us all do our best to make this one the stuff of wizard rock legend. This is Special Correspondent in the Field DQ saying, see ya at Hogwarts, Harry.
Well that’s thrilling! I can’t wait to see you all at WZRDFest 2! Thank you, DQ, for sharing that exciting news!
While you start on your travel plans, here’s our next music block. First up is The Secret Broom Cupboard of Salazar Slytherin and “In Which We Fight Against Umbridge and Form the D.A.”
~*~
You just heard The Secret Broom Cupboard of Salazar Slytherin’s “In Which We Fight Against Umbridge and Form the D.A.,” “Dolores” by Dream Quaffle [lyrics], Pussycat Dolores with her “7 Books,” and “Shout It Out!” from RiddleTM [lyrics].
It’s spooky season, magical friends! Our fandom gets pretty excited this time of year, so here are just a few things we’ve got going on this month.
