Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 70 of WZRD Radio. I’m your hostwitch Bess, and I hope you’re having a beautiful day.
It’s a lovely month for the fandom, so let’s get right into the music.
Here are the Blibbering Humdingers with “Trolley Witch.”
~*~
That was the Blibbering Humdingers and “Trolley Witch,” “I Like You” by Room of Whateva [lyrics], and The Weirdos are Out with “Cursed Child Isn’t Canon” [lyrics].
This month’s wandoscope is for magical friends who carry wands of silver lime. Coincidentally, hi Sept!
Silver lime wands are popular with seers and those who practice Legilimancy, particularly in the Victorian era. Nowadays, it’s fairly rare.
You should lean on that foresight this month, silver lime. In the northern hemisphere, it’s easy to go a little over the top in April, as warmer weather makes for a dramatic departure from the dreary winter. I can’t speak for the southern hemisphere, but transitions are hard everywhere, really. Before making any big decisions, pause and ask if this is really going to be a good idea in a month or two. Check in with a level-headed friend if you need a second opinion, like someone with a fir wand. They won’t be afraid to tell you no, and you’ll skip what could be a major disaster.
Next up is “Albus Potter’s Lullaby” by Split Seven Ways.
~*~
You just heard Split Seven Ways with “Albus Potter’s Lullaby” [lyrics], “Oh Rose” by The Mudbloods [lyrics], and “My Cursed Child Review” by Tianna and the Cliffhangers.
Spring has sprung, magical friends! Unless you’re down south, of course. But either way, there’s some fun stuff going on:
Today, April 1st, Harry Potter Clue is happening at Moss Mansion in Billings, Montana. Find the Imperioused killer and stop them before they can strike again! [link]
On April 7th, NEWTs is releasing their album “The Battle.” You heard the teaser here last month, now get ready for the whole experience. [link]
The Social Justice Bards are hosting a song swap, so if you want to cover someone’s song, or be covered, be sure to submit by April 10th. [link]
If you’re around Atlantic Beach, New York on April 12th, there’s going to be a 5 course Harry Potter themed dinner, with cocktails included. So fancy! [link]
After that dinner you’re going to be sleepy, so why not lull yourself to sleep with Dream Quaffle’s new release? “Lullabies for Magical Children” is coming out on the 14th! [link]
On the 15th, The Eccentric Englishman in Northampton, UK is having a Harry Potter tea, with “prohibition” and “tiddly” options available. [link]
The Australian National Hotel in Queensland, Australia is hosting a Harry Potter Charity Night on April 21st. There will be trivia and a costume contest, among other fun events. [link]
On April 29th there’s going to be a Harry Potter Artisan Market in Fairfield, California. [link]
As for what I missed last month…
