Magical friends, this is our final wandoscope! We’ve made it through every wandwood there is. Next month I’m bringing you something new.
Our final wandoscope is for magical friends with wands of yew.
Yew wands are kind of exciting, magical friends. Described as ‘unusual’ and ‘notorious’ and ‘fearsome at dueling and cursing’ and ‘holding power over life and death.’ But after all that, no more likely to be evil than anyone else. Yew wand holders are always brave and exceptional and tend to be buried with their wand, which always grows a tree to protect them in the afterlife. Ginny Weasley and Lord Voldemort both had wands of yew.
The coming month is going to be an important one in your path, yew carrier. You’ll be making small decisions that shuffle the tiny pebbles that become big changes in the future, so try to make your choices only from a thoughtful place. And if you mess up sometimes, that’s okay. There will be lots more pebbles of varying sizes in the future.

For the whole first week of January, Jesolo, Italy is hosting Harry Potter themed events, including a cosplay meetup on the 2nd. [link]
Saint-Jerome, Canada is having a Harry Potter festival on January 6th. [link]
If you’re in Irwin, PA on January 7th, stop by Greenery Winehouse for their Harry Potter Brunch, where performers will be reenacting Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets while you sip. [link]
If any magical friends arein Roanoke, Texas or Southlake, Texas on January 13th, please send your pup to the Harry Potter sleepover at Dogtopia and tag me in the results of their photoshoot. [link]
January 12-14th is Harry Potter weekend at Sugar! In Budapest, Hungary. They’ll be serving up an etire collection of edibles and beverages based on the series. [link]
Coincidentally, January 12-14th is also ConVivial in Williamsburg, Va, and the Blibbering Humdingers will be playing! [link]
