Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 93 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and it’s well and truly spring here. I hope you listen to this while enjoying your own beautiful weather.
As always, we’ve got a lot of fun stuff going on this month, so let’s get to it!
Here’s “I Have Red Hair” by Ginny and the Heartbreakers.
Hello magical friends, and welcome to WZRD’s 4th anniversary bonus episode! I’m your hostwitch Bess, and this interview is really just a taster for the real special. To find it, make your way over to the Why Can’t We Be Wizards feed and listen to our extraordinary journey. I’ll also include a link in the show notes and transcript here. [link]
While you go find that, here’s our first set of songs. First up is “Save Ginny Weasley” by Harry and the Potters.
Hello magical friends, with a special welcome to my wonderful patrons, who make these interviews possible! I’m your hostwitch Bess, and today I’m excited to be talking to a wonderful new wizard rocker.
First, however, let’s talk anniversary merch. It wouldn’t be a WZRD birthday without some new swag, right? Based off the buttons I was handing out at LeakyCon last year, we have new stickers! “Wizard punks fight transphobia and listen to WZRD Radio.” We also now have iron-on WZRD patches! Go check them out at the WZRD shop, linked in the transcript. [link]
Here’s some light music to enhancing your browsing experience. First up we have DJ Luna Lovegood and “Yellow.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 91 of WZRD Radio. I’m your hostwitch Bess, and I just want to say happy anniversary! Can you believe WZRD is four years old?
I’ve got a few celebrations planned for the occasion. Some gifts, perhaps.
The first one is the Community Wrock Fund! With Yes All Witches going on hiatus, WZRD is proud to be launching our own program. Open to all wizard rockers both new and established, the Community Wrock Fund is a pool of money wrockers can apply to to help with their music. It’s available for any wrock-related need, including convention travel and recording equipment.
I am so excited to be starting this new project! You can find all the information on the Community Wrock Fund page of the WZRD Radio website, including the application form.
While you go check that all out, here’s “Wit Beyond Measure” by Ludo Bagman and the Trash.
Hello magical friends, especially my wonderful patrons who make these interview episodes possible. Today I’m talking to an exciting new wizard rocker. If you haven’t been to LeakyCon, you may not have gotten a chance to hear her perform. Let’s see if we can change that today.
First, though, we’ve got some other amazing musicians, starting with How Airplanes Fly and “Time Turner.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome to WZRD Radio. I’m your hostwitch Bess, and I’m so excited to share our new segment with you! I really hope you like it.
Don’t worry though, not everything has changed. Here’s our first block of music, starting with Diagon Alley and “The Way.”
Hello magical friends, especially my patrons whose support lets me do these episodes. I’m your hostwitch Bess and the first interview of 2024 is with Errand of Mercy!
I know you’re excited to hear what he has to say, but first up is the music.
Here’s Azkaban is Burning with “The Graveyard Rap Battle.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome back to WZRD Radio! This is episode 87, and I’m your hostwitch Bess. I hope you had a warm winter and celebrated as many holidays as possible.
I’m thrilled to be back for another year of wizard rock, so let’s kick it off with “Marietta’s a Sneak” by Hawthorn and Holly.
(I forgot to mention it in the episode, but… The third volume of WZRD’s annual zine, The Wizard Rocker, is now available in the WZRD shop [https://www.etsy.com/shop/WZRDRadioPod]. Volumes 1 and 2 are back again as well! They’re only here for December, so grab ’em if you want ’em!)
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 86 of WZRD Radio. I’m your hostwitch Bess, and I hope you’re having a lovely, stress-free holiday season so far.
We begin this episode, as we do every year, with the traditional playing of Muggle Mike’s “A Very Severus Christmas.”
