Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 128 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and I’m getting excited for what I consider the festive season, fall through winter. Harvest festivals, Halloween, and all the darkest-night parties are coming!
To get us started, here’s The Butterbeer Experience with “The Weasley Way.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 125 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess, and today I have just so many special treats for you! First of all, the WZRD Radio 5th anniversary comp, “Just Joy,” is available today! I’ll include a link in the transcript for anyone who wants a copy. [link]
And don’t forget! The Summer! Of! Fun! zine is open to submissions of all sorts through the end of this month. I’ll be sending out physical copies to everyone who contributes, so get your art, writing, quizzes, and fanworks of all sorts in! That link will be in the transcript as well. [link]
And finally, this interview wasn’t done by me! As a special treat to myself I deputized Irvin Khaytman of The Three Broomsticks podcast to go into the wilds of New York to interview one of our more elusive wizard rockers, Celestial Warmbottom. Their conversation is such a treat and I can’t wait for you to hear it.
But first, of course, comes the music. Here’s Dream Quaffle’s “I’m a Puff, and I’m Staying.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 116 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and as we move into spring, I hope you’re all thinking hard about your Summer! Of! Fun! plans. Hosting a movie night? Creating the perfect cosplay? Starting a Harry Potter book club? Just don’t forget to let us know with the BBEFJ hashtag.
While you work on your projects, here’s our first block of music. First up is The Butterbeer Experience and “At the Ministry.”
Hello magical friends and welcome to episode 107 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and oh my goodness we have so much going on!
Before we even begin I want to remind you that WZRD Presents is tomorrow. It’s one-of-a-kind, and it’s a real, live wrock show happening in Orlando FL featuring Dream Quaffle, How Airplanes Fly, The Blibbering Humdingers, and Hawthorn & Holly. And we can’t forget the emcee, Brian of Draco and the Malfoys! I’ve been working on this show for months, and I hope I’ll see at least some of you there. [link]
While you grab your last minute flights and hotels for the show, here’s some music!
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 98 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess, and we are getting so close to the 100th episode! Thank you to everyone who’s been reviewing and starring and spreading the good word of wrock as part of the 100 for 100. You all write such nice things, and it’s surprisingly heartening to see all the stars on places like Spotify.
Today’s episode is with a wizard rocker who came to the community, as many do, with the thought “this is silly,” and found out what a wonderful place this really is. I can’t wait to share that story with you, but first we’ve got some music.
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 93 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and it’s well and truly spring here. I hope you listen to this while enjoying your own beautiful weather.
As always, we’ve got a lot of fun stuff going on this month, so let’s get to it!
Here’s “I Have Red Hair” by Ginny and the Heartbreakers.
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 91 of WZRD Radio. I’m your hostwitch Bess, and I just want to say happy anniversary! Can you believe WZRD is four years old?
I’ve got a few celebrations planned for the occasion. Some gifts, perhaps.
The first one is the Community Wrock Fund! With Yes All Witches going on hiatus, WZRD is proud to be launching our own program. Open to all wizard rockers both new and established, the Community Wrock Fund is a pool of money wrockers can apply to to help with their music. It’s available for any wrock-related need, including convention travel and recording equipment.
I am so excited to be starting this new project! You can find all the information on the Community Wrock Fund page of the WZRD Radio website, including the application form.
While you go check that all out, here’s “Wit Beyond Measure” by Ludo Bagman and the Trash.
Hello magical friends, especially my wonderful patrons who make these interview episodes possible. Today I’m talking to an exciting new wizard rocker. If you haven’t been to LeakyCon, you may not have gotten a chance to hear her perform. Let’s see if we can change that today.
First, though, we’ve got some other amazing musicians, starting with How Airplanes Fly and “Time Turner.”
Hello magical friends, especially my wonderful patrons who make these interviews possible. I’m your hostwitch Bess and today I’m talking with a very cool trio– Potterwatch!
We had so much to talk about, so let’s dive right into the music!
This is “I’m A Puff and I’m Staying” by Dream Quaffle.
