Hello magical friends and welcome to the first WZRD Radio episode of 2021! I’m your hostwitch Bess and I think this is going to be a very good year.
Let’s kickstart this wrockin’ year with some excellent music. First up is “My Friends are Wizards” by Hawthorn & Holly.
~*~
That was “My Friends are Wizards” by Hawthorn and Holly, “Wizard Rockstar” by Lauren Fairweather, and “Foom” by Seven Potters [lyrics].
Who’s ready for our first wandoscope of the year?
Wow, cherry wand holders. Do you know what Ollivander says about you? “Truly lethal power.” You are a dragon, powerful and majestic. And speaking of dragons, if you combine forces with a dragon heartstring core, you’ll create an unstoppable force. Use it for good, please! But don’t get ahead of yourself. If you spend this month figuring out what you want and the steps to get there you’ll be in a much better position to conquer the rest of the year.
Next up is “Magic Lives On” by Sane as Luna.
~*~
That was “Magic Lives On” by Sane as Luna, “Voldemort Can’t Stop the Rock” by Harry and the Potters [lyrics], and “I Found Love” by Catchlove.

We’ve made it through another episode! I hope it’s as fun a start to the new year for you as it is for me.
No one guessed episode 17’s theme last month. I know, I made it super tricky. But I’ve still got a few of those Muggle Snuggle download codes so if you’ve got a guess for that episode’s theme—or this one’s—let me know!
As always, links to all the songs and events you heard here are included in the transcript at WZRDRadioPod.WordPress.com. If you heard something you like, support the artist! Without them, we wouldn’t be here.
If you want early access to episodes, a hand written thank-you note from me, and the super-special one year anniversary bonus I’m creating for my wonderful patrons, join the WZRD Radio Patreon at Patreon.com/WZRDRadioPod. For two muggle dollars a month you ensure that I can create two episodes every month and you support the Yes All Witches grant in their mission to uplift queer and BIPoC voices in wizard rock.
Want to share you guess about the episodes’ themes with me? Do you have an upcoming event I should share (or did I mispronounce your favorite word)? Let me know on Twitter at WZRDRadioPod. If you’re not a Twitter fan you can leave a comment on the transcript or email me at WZRDRadioPod@gmail.com.
Until next time, friends: let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
