Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 61 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and I hope you’re all ready for harvest festivals! They’re my favorite.
Before we get to the music, I’d like to share a project from some dear podcast friends:
Goblet of Wine lost a member of their community last year, and are running a fundraiser for Mermaids in their memory. I’m including a link in the transcript, and the show notes, and I hope you donate if you can. It’s so important, as part of the Harry Potter fandom, to be acutely aware of what damage giving any money to the franchise does, and to fight transphobia at every turn. [link]
While you’re checking out that link, here’s “Bubble Gum Wrappers” by The House of Black.
~*~
That was “Bubble Gum Wrappers” by The House of Black, The Faithful Sidekicks and “Team Neville FTW” [lyrics], and “Losing My Remembrall” by Philosopherock.
This month’s wandoscope is for magical friends who carry wands of red oak.
According to wand lore, you have unusually quick reactions, are adaptable, and have a style all your own. You’re someone everyone wants watching their back.
This month, however, those fast reaction times might get you into trouble. Quick reactions are good, but make sure you have all the information before flying off to do something about it. Do some verification and fact-gathering before jumping into a panic, okay? You’ll save yourself some embarrassment down the road, I promise.
This next block of music begins with Creevey Crisis and “True Gryffindor.”
~*~
That was “True Gryffindor” by Creevey Crisis, “The Hero” by Penelope Clearwater Revival [lyrics], and “Basically the Man, Part 2” by The Butterbeer Experience [lyrics].

It’s two muggle dollars a month also supports the Yes All Witches grant in their quest to provide microgrants and mentorship to queer and BIPoC wizard rockers.
