Hello magical friends, especially my incredible patrons whose support makes these interview episodes possible. I had a wonderful chat with a new wizard rocker that I can’t wait to share with you, but you know how this works. It’s not a radio show without the music!
Here’s Hurray for Everything, Harry with “Voldemort Can’t Stop the Rock.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 112 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and the weather is starting to get nice again here so I’m spending a surprising amount of time outside. I hope you’re getting your regular sunlight too.
We’re introducing a new segment from your favorite Special Correspondent in the Field today, but first, some music.
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 111 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and I’m so excited to be debuting a brand new wizard rock band today! Vive la music!
I’d also like to make a quick note that I’m still working on my recording room so my sound is a little echo-y. Sorry about that!
Before we meet our newest wizard rocker, let’s check in with some familiar favorites. Here’s Striking Down Diggory with “The Princess of Snakes.”
Hello magical friends, and welcome to the last episode of 2024! I’m your hostwitch Bess, and I am so proud of us this year. Look at everything we’ve achieved! And there’s more still to come. This really is the greatest community.
To celebrate, here’s some music! We’re starting, as is traditional, with “A Very Severus Christmas” by Muggle Mike.
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 108 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess, and today’s interview has been actual years in the making.
Before we get to the interview, however, I wanted to do a quick recap of WZRDFest and WZRD Presents. Between the rain and the power outage you might think it was a disaster, but only if you don’t know wizard rock. We had a rave in the dark, an unplugged rap battle, a pizza party, and the most fun I can remember having, with so many of my favorite people.
It was a reminder that we never cede ground to transphobes, and that includes fandoms. We plant out feet, lock our elbows, and ensure those ideals can’t flourish in our space. It’s why we boycott, and why we write, draw, collage, and make music so joyfully.
I don’t have the words to say everything that WZRD Presents was. Luckily, the Galleon Guy did it for me in our first song, “WZRDFest for good.”
Hello magical friends and welcome to episode 107 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and oh my goodness we have so much going on!
Before we even begin I want to remind you that WZRD Presents is tomorrow. It’s one-of-a-kind, and it’s a real, live wrock show happening in Orlando FL featuring Dream Quaffle, How Airplanes Fly, The Blibbering Humdingers, and Hawthorn & Holly. And we can’t forget the emcee, Brian of Draco and the Malfoys! I’ve been working on this show for months, and I hope I’ll see at least some of you there. [link]
While you grab your last minute flights and hotels for the show, here’s some music!
Hello magical friends, with a special hey hi hello to Celia, my newest magical patron, whose support lets me do these interviews!
Today’s interview is with a new friend that I think you’re going to love. It’s Head Boy!
Before we get to that, though, go vote on our Special Correspondent in the Field swag poll! I’m closing it at the end of the month so you’ve only got a couple more weeks to pick your pin. I’ve included a link to the poll in the transcript, so check that out while our first music plays. [link]
Here’s The Quaffle Kids with “The Common Welsh Green” to cheer our way!
Hello magical friends, and welcome to episode 105 of WZRD Radio! I’m your hostwitch Bess and before we get in to today’s episode I’ve got a bit of business.
As you know, WZRD is now a team of two, with your hostwitch staffing the main office and our beloved Special Correspondent in the Field DQ gallavanting about and meeting you all in person. Well, it felt important that we have some sort of token for folks who might happen across Dream Quaffle while they’re Corresponding. To that effect we’ve knocked up three potential designs of buttons but we need your help making the final decision on which one will be the official Special Correspondent in the Field swag.
I’ve made a public poll on the WZRD Patreon, with a picture of each button option, that anyone can vote on. You don’t have to be a magical patron! Just pop on over to Patreon.com/WZRDRadioPod and tell us which one you think is best.
Hello magical friends, especially my magical patrons whose support lets me do these interviews! I’m your hostwitch Bess and this month I’m talking to someone who I think is one of my new favorite people.
So let’s get into it! Here’s “Green Eyes” by the Nargleptics.
